Friends Group Hosts First Fundraiser
The holidays are right around the corner and with lots of shopping to be done, who has time to cook? Friends of the Westfield Senior Center to the rescue!
On Wednesday, December 14th, the Friends group is teaming up with Westfield’s Applebees for a win-win-win fundraiser called “Dining To Donate.” Stop at Applebees for a bite to eat anytime between 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM and 15% of your check will be donated to the Friends of the Westfield Senior Center group.
When you enter the restaurant before you are seated, simply show the hostess a special flyer which indicates that you’re participating in the Dining To Donate fundraiser. Flyers are available at the St. John’s Senior Center Relocation Site as well as the Council On Aging office at City Hall, Room 206. You must get a flyer ahead of time in order for the funds to go to the Friends group.
You win because you’ll eat a delicious meal without the fuss of preparing it yourself during the hectic holiday shopping season.
The Friends Group wins because they’re raising money to furnish our new Senior Center.
And Applebees wins because they get lots of hungry customers between 5 and 9 p.m. on December 14th!
